Meet Ms. Carol

"When I first came to this country from St. Kitts, I didn’t have any family here – it was just me and my husband. Four months after I had my daughter, I started to feel such loneliness because I had no one to talk to. So I started looking for a church.

Sometimes, I think that I could’ve turned to other things like drugs and alcohol, but I think the loneliness really made me reach out to God.

And also for my daughter, she is a big blessing – a very, very big blessing. We have a good relationship, not just our mother and daughter one, but a good relationship with Jesus. In any situation, we always make sure that we pray about everything…and it may be cheesy but we pray about everything. To me, to know that as a young woman she could’ve become a lot of things, but she’s a part of Epiphany and we both believe in Jesus…I really really cherish what she has become."
